Future tourists
Even "spring" weather the Forest brought together more than 50 invited guests and friends of the Ore Mountains in the Czech Republic and German during the opening conference of the project "Two countries - one region" supported by the European Union on cross-border program Objective 3. The program was rich 9 guests in separate blocks (Antonín Herzán - Presentation of project outputs, project vision and outline cooperation Wolfgang Bilz - deputy project partner, representing the Mayor of Deutschneudorf - outputs of the project on the German side, prof. RNDr. Vladimir Bejček, PhD. - Chairman of the Board project holder and cooperation with the Faculty of Environmental CUA Prague; Preißler Christin, manager of the project "Cross-border interconnections - tourist-oriented online presentation of the common border region around Deutschneudorf and forest"; Ing. Pavel Hajšman - head of department funds and programs of the RA Central Library, Mgr. Petr Mikšíček - writer, photographer Ore Mountains, Catherine Dry - director of the agency Destination Ore Mountains; Karsten Gräning - Representative Tourist Board Erzgebirge; Mgr. Pavel Stanek - AGW Support Ltd. - a central reservation system, Ing. Ph. D. Jan Pacino - UJEP - FES). All guests discussing and acting agreed on the necessity to continue cooperation linking all players in the Ore Mountains on both sides of the border. The discussion resulted primarily need to create qualified questionnaires for feedback from visitors and tourists who visit the Ore Mountains. Necessity is that these questionnaires are available at all public places (hotels, restaurants, IC, museums, ski resorts, etc.). Ensuring their regular inspection and collection of about 1 x per quarter, gathered information and monitor feedback work on the target osloviteli (tourist) to extend his stay in the Ore Mountains for more than two days, as at present according to a survey shows statistics. Supervision and processing of outputs based on questionnaires secured yet tentatively promised UJEP - Faculty of Environment and in the current days, begins to negotiate a form of cooperation, under what conditions it would be possible to implement this project. The preliminary assumption circulation of questionnaires for the public was established in the fall of 2013 and the monitoring period has been proposed for a period of 3 years, which is in 2016. The main theme was the promotion period from 2007 to 2013, when the Erzgebirge both the Czech and German side has invested much funding for meaningful projects, which according to experience lack central nationwide promotion to the border area between both areas.
Another important point was the discussion on information linking information centers on both sides of the border and not only among themselves but also other actors from the Ore Mountains and foothills. The ideal form would mean a joint presentation by all available media channels, joint reservation system that not only includes accommodation, but also meals, excursions, visits to museums, theaters, etc.
