 The church stays on the place the original Roman basilica. On the building of the Gothic church, which was build between 1340 – 1370, hu´t of Peter Parléř. Between 1740 – 1741 was the church rebuild in the baroque style.

In vicinity of this building can you see many sculpture, which are work of the artist form Žatec Jan Karel Vetter.
